{"id":12947,"date":"2018-03-31T13:54:53","date_gmt":"2018-03-31T16:54:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casamuseoeduardofrei.cl\/?p=12947"},"modified":"2018-12-14T14:14:43","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T17:14:43","slug":"espectaculos-y-sorpresas-en-casa-museo-para-el-dia-del-patrimonio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casamuseoeduardofrei.cl\/en\/espectaculos-y-sorpresas-en-casa-museo-para-el-dia-del-patrimonio\/","title":{"rendered":"Cultural Heritage Day: Shows and surprises at EFM House Museum!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>EFM House Museum celebrates the most important day of national heritage and, at the same time, its tenth anniversary with guided tours through the residency of the emblematic President, along with live Latin-American music and folk dance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A former President of Chile\u2019s home transformed in House Museum, declared national monument (2005) by the National Monuments Council (CMN for its acronyms in Spanish) joins again, for the tenth consecutive year, in the Chilean Cultural Heritage Day celebration, the national cultural festivity which for the first time since its creation in 1999 will be held for two days, May 26<sup>th<\/sup> and 27<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-12950 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.casamuseoeduardofrei.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Ki-JAY2-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/>In the activity, organized by the National Monument Council, Eduardo Frei Montalva House Museum will open its doors for free to the public from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; along with drawings, shows and special activities, we\u2019ll celebrate, in grand style, the heritage festivity as well as our 10<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary since its inauguration on May 12<sup>th<\/sup>, 2008.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For this, the Cultural Heritage Day at EFM House Museum includes, throughout the weekend and in continuous schedule, guided tours through the 683 Hindenburg residency, declared national monument in 2005 as part of the collective memory of an important historical period of Chile and representation of one of the architecture prototypes of the 1940s of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century, safeguarding heritage objects, original furniture, this period clothing and a painting collection, among others. We will also have shows for both days, starting on Saturday 26<sup>th<\/sup> with the presentation of Ki Jay trio of guitar, violin, percussion and voice, which will perform a careful repertoire of great exponents of the Latin-American music of the 20th century, from Violeta Parra to Antonio Carlos Jobim, with three performances from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-12952 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.casamuseoeduardofrei.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/IMG_7982-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>On Sunday 27<sup>th<\/sup> the celebrations will culminate with the show \u201cCampo de mi amor\u201d, live folk music and dance, interpreted by the Artistic Company from North to South with two performances at 12:00 and 3:00 pm, a trip through the traditional countryside settings in the central zone of Chile, where the patronage prior to Frei Montalva&#8217;s Agrarian Reform intensified social inequality. That is where the protagonist of this story, a farmhand, falls in love with the daughter of the landowner. Together with his friends, he will have to overcome, with ingenuity and joy the adversities of this adventure.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Heritage month: tenth anniversary of House Museum<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This month EFM House Museum celebrates its tenth anniversary since it opened its doors to the public on May 12<sup>th<\/sup> 2008. Since then, it has been exhibited as the house of the Frei Ruiz-Tagle family, a place where they lived for more than 40 years and where more than 350 heritage and historical objects are protected, among which we can emphasize a personal library with more than 3,700 books, clothing from the 1960s, numismatics, European and Latin-American awards, Chilean and Latin-American painting collection from the 19<sup>th<\/sup> and 20<sup>th<\/sup> century by great exponents such as Oswaldo Guayasam\u00edn, Juan Francisco Gonz\u00e1lez, Pedro Lira and Nemesio Ant\u00fanez, and even fragments of moonstone brought as a gift by the Apolo 12&#8217;s crew in 1970.
